CHARACTER INFO
Character Name: Rin Hoshizora
Character Canon: Love Live! School Idol Project
History: boop
AU History: Raised by a Swords of the Savior member and a restaurant owner, Rin grew up in an average house hold in Union along with her best friend Hanayo Koizumi. She was always a tomboy growing up, always playing with more of the boys' games than playing with the girl crowd. Due to constant teasing from boys when attempts to be girly such as wearing dresses or skirts, she grew a complex that femininity just doesn't suit her and she avoids any relation to it. Growing up with complex, she is slowly improving herself, but it's still a strong weight on her back. Despite it, she grew up with a pretty fair childhood. She is aware of Union's problems, but for her age, she was mostly told to focus on schooling and figure out her future. Rin doesn't bother to rush for a career, as she just focuses on doing what she likes to do, spend time with friends, and enjoy a hot bowl of ramen after school.
Just recently, she woke up as an Enlightened after freaking out over markings appearing over her hand and accidentally punching a dent in the wall of a building. Along with schooling, she got put into training to control this power. Rin isn't a violent person to dare to fight outside of sport, but if she can help out the city, then perhaps it's not so bad... Or that's what she thinks. An actual physical fight is something she wouldn't do unless it's absolutely necessary.
Canon Personality: If there is one major trait that someone can read right off the bat from Rin, it's her large amount of energy. She is an outgoing girl while radiating a bright smile almost all the time. She can easily be compared to a cat, only more hyper and active. Even compared to a cat, she sometimes has the habit to act like one with curling her lips and even meowing when she is really excited about something. Her energy can be exhausting for others to deal with, but growing up with an active lifestyle and playing sports, Rin would rather move her body around and goof off than worry about tough things that go on in my life. She is certainly aware of them and she knows that she cannot avoid every hardship she comes across, but she's very much a person who rather take life easy and don't worry about the bad sides.
With her love of sports, Rin is not afraid to try something out if she became interested in it. She became skilled in football, basketball, and hurdling yet she always plays around in the other sports as well. Rin is also a person who looks out strongly for her friends and help out whenever they get stuck in a problem. This is strongly reflected in her relationship with Hanayo, who suffers from the lack of self-esteem and is quick to give up on anything. Ever since childhood, Rin is the one to held Hanayo's hand through tough issues and giving her the small push of courage Hanayo needs to became an idol. Of course, when Hanayo became an idol, Rin joined with her despite that she feels unfit to be one.
Ever since she was young, Rin grew up like a tomboy and every time she tries to do something girly such as wearing a skrit, boys would always tease her about it. Because of this, she believed that she is unfit to be cute and avoided anything girly as much as possible. This also took a toll on her confidence in a way, as she struggled hard when she was assigned as the leader of Muse while the others were away on a trip. She struggles on believing in herself when she has so much responsibility in her hands yet with the support of her friends and fellow idols to push her, she grew out of her complex and improved herself into a brand new Rin Hoshizora.
Despite the struggles of not feeling cute like other girls or dealing with huge responsibilities, Rin still smiles through hardships and tries her best to work hard for everyone's sake. If a friend is in trouble, she will try her best to help out or at least make them smile a little to know that everything is going to be okay. She always puts friends before herself, rather see everyone else happy before she deals with her own problems. Or tries to avoid them by putting her mind on easier things. Even with her problems, Rin is still an enjoyable girl who puts it all in her training and speaking with huge amount of energy that never seems to go away with her passionate heart.
AU Deviation: There isn't much changes from canon to Brave New World setting for Rin. While the concept of idols became the use of Pokemon Contests, Rin is still going to need that influence to follow that path along with her canon mates by either friends or enough peer pressure to start being a contest idol. Rin still has that boyish complex going on at start and will stay around until she starts to become a coordinator. Early on, she would still have the support of Hanayo and Chie Satonaka (in-game cousin), but getting a bigger impact on starting to support her femininity will take time.
Like canon, she will generally be doing the same thing around school and the city by playing various sports and spending time with friends. Getting into physical fights seems unlikely for Rin's nature, but if it's unavoidable or a friend is in danger, then she would try to jump into the fray. On the subject of her cat-like speech, it will be toned down a bit and she will say puns and sounds of cat related Pokemon when she gets really excited. Which is most of the time. Nya.
Canon Abilities: Rin is an average human girl. She's very athletic, therefore has better than average strength, speed, flexibility, and energy. She can sing pretty well.
Enlightened Abilities: Normal/Fighting, Mastery of Training
The Fighting type is chosen for Rin to fit along with her athletic being. Getting herself involved in various activities to keep herself active around Union, she learned and became mostly skilled in hand-to-hand combat. Generally, her abilities set has a focus on punches and moves to enhanced her strength. Something similar to Hitmonchan's general move set plus a few tweaks.
Elemental Punches: Every 15 levels from level 12 start, Rin will have a chance to learn one of the three elemental punches along with her moveset. To learn one of these punches, she is required to intensely train for the levels and gain the focus to to be able to pull off the move. For example, if Rin is training in the Volcano and the extreme heat intensifies her training, her hand markings could glow a red color and fire can cover her hand, learning Fire Punch.
Starter Pokémon: Zeni the Squirtle* and Chocho the Purrloin
*Temporary Starter, Dragon Pulse as it's chosen Egg Move
Notes/Special Considerations: She will come with an enhanced item, which is a pair of metal knuckles, enhanced with a Fighting typing. These knuckles help amplify punch based moves.
I can alter the elemental punches deal if necessary or remove them if the mods deem it's too much.

Third-Person:
What would you say the role of Pokémon is in your life?
They are my best friends, of course! Zeni and Chocho are always by my side and support me through everything. It would be tough without them by my side. They are just as important as Hanayo is to me~!
What aspects and traits do you respect most in your individual fellow man?
Someone strong and nice is fine by me! Well, not just physical strong, but also strong in their mind and heart too. Also anyone who can enjoy a nice bowl of ramen with me after a big adventure would be perfect!
What do you look for in the Pokémon with whom you bond?
Hm... Having pretty active Pokémon to play sports with would be great! I love to play various kinds of games and playing games help improve bonds, so Pokémon like that are perfect for me!
Though, if I find a cat Pokémon, I probably can't help myself but to bond with it. Eheh.
What do you think your Pokémon respect most about you?
Zeni appreciates my huge energy levels because he likes to play as much as I do. Chocho likes it when I help out others a lot. She likes the more serious side of me compared to Zeni I think.
You are alone and bereft of your Pokémon allies, upon what strengths do you rely on to see yourself safely home?
Nya-eheh?! How scary!
Well... I just have to stay calm and focus on getting myself back home. I'm still working on training my Enlightened abilities, but I just have to work hard to get back home to my friends and family.
When encountering a rare and powerful Pokémon, what is most important? Researching it, bonding with it, or defeating it? Why?
Bonding it, of course! Even the strongest and rarest of Pokémon can benefit from having friends!
